Breed of Nahum is a Black Metal solo manifestation founded in 2020 by Marauder (Bunkerfall, ex-Medecophobic), who forges every hymn, every word and every instrument beneath this name alone.
From the abyss of disillusion and the ruins of hollow creeds, Breed of Nahum was conceived as a voice against the decay of mankind — against the blind worship of idols, the obedience to false prophets, and the endless march of greed and self-inflicted spiritual ruin.
Breed of Nahum stands for the destruction of idols and imposed dogma; for the breaking of sacred symbols and the rejection of all spiritual tyranny. No gods. No shepherds. No temples erected upon fear. Only the sovereign will of the individual, unbound by religion, doctrine or the poison of collective submission.
Yet within the void there is neither despair nor redemption — only acceptance. For the truth that mankind seeks in heaven hath always dwelt within itself, buried beneath centuries of obedience and illusion.
And still, above all ideology and symbolism, there remains the music itself — the true core of Breed of Nahum. A vessel for that which cannot be spoken plainly; an expression of the inexpressible. As one man once said: “Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and cannot remain silent.” Through dissonance, darkness and fury, Breed of Nahum seeks not merely to create songs, but to give voice to the unspoken depths of the human spirit.
The name Nahum derives from the name of the demon “Aamon”, the 7th spirit of the Goetia and Grand Marquis of Hell, governing 40 infernal legions, which is also referred to as Nahum (not to be confused with the prophet Nahum from the old testament).
